Laboratoire de Biotechnologie et Chimie Marines

Les travaux de l’équipe sont consacrés à des bactéries marines appartenant au genre Pseudoalteromonas et à leurs propriétés antimicrobiennes et antibiofilms portées respectivement par des cyclolipopeptides non ribosomiaux et un peptide. Les travaux menés s’attachent donc à élucider leurs mécanismes d’action, à définir leur voie de biosynthèse, à clarifier la régulation de leur production. Leur surexpression dans des systèmes hétérologues est également explorée. La stratégie développée combine des techniques de biochimie, biologie moléculaire, transcriptomique, génomique et de microscopie. Enfin, l’impact de ces souches sur le microbiome et la physiologie de l’animal hôte est examiné. Les applications biotechnologiques (probiotique en aquaculture marine pour les souches de Pseudoalteromonas et pharmaceutique pour les peptides antimicrobiens et/ou antibiofilm) sont également examinées en relation avec la SATT Ouest Valorisation.
